1. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (The Chronicles of Narnia)

Publisher’s Summary
Don’t miss one of America’s top 100 most-loved novels, selected by PBS’s The Great American Read.
A beautiful paperback edition of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, book two in the classic fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia. This edition features cover art by three-time Caldecott Medal-winning illustrator David Wiesner and interior black-and-white illustrations by the series’ original illustrator, Pauline Baynes.
Four adventurous siblings—Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie—step through a wardrobe door and into the land of Narnia, a land frozen in eternal winter and enslaved by the power of the White Witch. But when almost all hope is lost, the return of the Great Lion, Aslan, signals a great change . . . and a great sacrifice.
Open the door and enter a new world! The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is the second book in C. S. Lewis’s classic fantasy series, which has been captivating readers of all ages with a magical land and unforgettable characters for over sixty years.
This is a stand-alone read, but if you would like to discover more about Narnia, pick up The Horse and His Boy, the third book in The Chronicles of Narnia.
My Standpoint on The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
I love the line where the writer’s said “One day, you will be old enough to start reading fairytales again“. That clicked on my mind while I read this book. The story is about four siblings and their wonderful journey. One day played hide and seek game at their uncle’s home. Suddenly the younger one found a secret in the back of the old wardrobe. After a fair amount of convincing, she and her three siblings set out to explore and are soon whisked into the land of Narnia. After that, she and her three siblings set out to explore. And they were soon whisked into the land of Narnia. I love this fantasy so much because it is so immersive. It literally takes my mind away. Lucy, Susan, Edward, and Peter are the lucky ones. When they stumble across the wardrobe, the gateway into a more interesting realm. Because of that, they experienced something spectacular. So as a reader I recommend you to try this book and make your dreams come true. Like this lines:
“Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight,
At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more,
When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.”

2. A Discovery of Witches: A Novel

Publisher’s Summary
Book one of the New York Times best-selling All Souls Serie – “a wonderfully imaginative grown-up fantasy with all the magic of Harry Potter and Twilight” (People).
Now “[a] hot show that’s like Twilight meets Outlander” (Thrillist) airing on AMC and BBC America, as well as streaming on Sundance Now and Shudder.
Deborah Harkness’s sparkling debut, A Discovery of Witches, has brought her into the spotlight and galvanized fans around the world. In this tale of passion and obsession, Diana Bishop, a young scholar and a descendant of witches, discovers a long-lost and enchanted alchemical manuscript, Ashmole 782, deep in Oxford’s Bodleian Library. Its reappearance summons a fantastical underworld, which she navigates with her leading man, vampire geneticist Matthew Clairmont.
Harkness has created a universe to rival those of Anne Rice, Diana Gabaldon, and Elizabeth Kostova, and she adds a scholar’s depth to this riveting tale of magic and suspense. The story continues in book two, Shadow of Night, book three, The Book of Life, and the fourth in the series, Time’s Convert.
My Standpoint on A Discovery of Witches: A Novel
This book kept me hanging on just enough to stop me from abandoning it. Although it’s a long narrative book, but it has something that you will attract. The story is about a female lead named Diana. Who is a highly intelligent woman and well respected in her field. She’s also the daughter of two powerful witches who were murdered when she was seven years old. Because of the death of them, she was traumatized. And that’s why she turnrd her back on magic and devotes her life to study.
Therefore, one day when she accidentally pulled a heavily enchanted manuscript from the Bodleian library and was somehow able to open it.That time she drawed the attention of the supernatural communities. Matthew, a biochemist vampire with many secrets and motivations of his own, seeks out Diana to investigate. Probably the main thing that turns me off about this book is the cast of characters. Matthew will be startlingly familiar to any reader of paranormal romance. That’s how the story build up. So let’s check out this book and see more about it. To check the details click on amazon.
3. The All Souls Trilogy Boxed Set

Now all three novels are available in an elegantly designed boxed set that’s perfect for fans and newcomers alike, and the perfect introduction to the on-going series which continues with Time’s Convert, book four.
My Standpoint on The All Souls Trilogy book
Everything is extreamly complex about these books. But that doesn’t affect because readers will connect with it. The story lines are so innovative that you can’t keep it aside. Here, Diana Bishop is a historian and tenured professor at Yale. She’s also a witch. At this point I should mention that witches, daemons and vampires are kind of the norm in this authors world. Here, Diana is the last in the line of very powerful witches but she didn’t want to be. But just because she doesn’t want it, doesn’t mean it isn’t there. While doing some research in the Bodleian library at Oxford, Diana calls up a book, Ashmole 782, and her powers make themselves known.
The books is protected her magic responds to it. Annoyance and fear override her curiosity and she sends it back to storage. Her life quickly stops being her own when she falls under the protection of a 1500 year old vampire, Matthew Clairmont. People are willing to kill her to get their hands on the manuscript or to keep it buried. The race to find the book again and it’s origins will take Diana and Matthew across Europe and back in time. All the while, Diana is coming into the powers she was born with. Specially, learning things about her family, particularly her parents, that will change everything. Are you intrigued? Then let’s check a quick view of this book. And find out more about it. Just grab the chance and click on amazon .
4. The Glamourist (The Vine Witch Book 2)

Publisher’s Summary
A spellbinding novel of bloodlines, self-discovery, and redemption by the author of the Washington Post bestseller The Vine Witch.
Abandoned as a child in turn-of-the-century Paris, Yvette Lenoir has longed to uncover the secrets of her magical heritage and tap her suppressed powers. But what brave and resourceful Yvette has done to survive the streets has made her a fugitive. With a price on her head, she clings to a memento from her past—what she believes to be a grimoire inherited from the mother she never knew. To unlock the secrets of her past, Yvette trusts in one woman to help solve the arcane riddles among its charmed pages.
Elena Boureanu is the vine witch of Château Renard, noted for its renowned wines. Even as she struggles with her own bloodline—and its poisonous threat to her future—Elena can’t ignore a friend on the run. Joined by a cunning thief, the proprietor of an enchanted-curio shop, and a bewitching black cat, Elena and Yvette are determined to decode Yvette’s mysterious keepsake. But what restless magic will be unleashed? And what are Yvette and Elena willing to risk to become the witches they were destined to be?
My Standpoint on The Glamourist
The Glamourist is a simple story about the next chapter in Elena’s life with her new fiancee: Meeting the future mother-in-law. Of course it isn’t as simple as that since Elena now has to contend with the Ministry of Lineages and Licenses. Here, Elena is still the main character as she was in The Vine Witch. But ‘The Glamourist‘ now features Yvette’s story. Here Elena comes to the city to meet her future mother-in-law. But before she does she needs approval from the government to continue being a vine witch.
The story has three POVs: Elena’s, Yvette’s and Henri – a new character that Yvette knew from a long time ago. Elena and Yvette are where most of the story happens with Henri’s chapters occurring less frequently. But the characters that were memorable though were Alexandre and Marion. Alexander is the owner of a curio shop where all items within are guaranteed to have been enchanted at one point in their life. Marion, Jean-Paul’s mother, interests lie in the world beyond. In the end I found I enjoyed this novel. The pacing and tone feels more consistent with this story. It’s a lovely choice if you’re looking for a light fantasy story with a dash of romance and one that has a slower pace to it. That’s why you must check it and to know more about it, click on amazon.
5. The Midwinter Witch: A Graphic Novel

Publisher’s Summary
The acclaimed graphic novel world of The Witch Boy and The Hidden Witch comes to a thrilling conclusion in this story of friendship, family, and finding your true power.Magic has a dark side . . .Aster always looks forward to the Midwinter Festival, a reunion of the entire Vanissen family that includes competitions in witchery and shapeshifting. This year, he’s especially excited to compete in the annual Jolrun tournament-as a witch. He’s determined to show everyone that he’s proud of who he is and what he’s learned, but he knows it won’t be easy to defy tradition.Ariel has darker things on her mind than the Festival-like the mysterious witch who’s been visiting her dreams, claiming to know the truth about Ariel’s past. She appreciates everything the Vanissens have done for her. But Ariel still craves a place where she truly belongs. The Festival is a whirlwind of excitement and activity, but for Aster and Ariel, nothing goes according to plan. When a powerful and sinister force invades the reunion, threatening to destroy everything the young witches have fought for, can they find the courage to fight it together? Or will dark magic tear them apart?
My Standpoint on The Midwinter Witch
When I started the book, I feel like Molly wrote this story with me in mind as the reader. I think, Midwinter Witch is a middle-grades book, focused on all kinds of diversity and gender identity. Here Aster is a boy, who wants to be a witch in a world where boys become shape-shifters. The action brings Aster’s family and their adopted daughter Ariel to the Midwinter Festival. Aster continues to struggle against his mother’s expectations. Because he has to take his nonconformity with gender roles public at a large family reunion.
At the festival each year, one boy is crowned the midwinter shifter and one girl is crowned the midwinter witch. Aster wants to take part but his mother refuses. Meanwhile, Ariel saw her biological aunt in dreams. She told Ariel that her magic is dark unlike Vanissens. but when she takes part in the Jolrun, she defeats Aster and Aster gets mad at her. So Ariel decides to go with her aunt. But Aster’s mother is aware that Ariel’s family steals magic off other people. So how they solve this matter that’s the best part of this book. I assure you as a reader, you will not miss this chance to find out this secret. Let’s check out the details on amazon.
6. Midlife Witch Hunter

Publisher’s Summary
Gran used to say that a strong woman looks a challenge in the eye and gives it a wink. To be sure, flirting with challenges is a terrible idea. Ask me how I know.
All Bree really wants is to bury her head in the sand, somewhere in the south of France while a hot pool boy rubs lotion on her back.
Instead, Bree gets blackmailed by the Council of Savannah into a job she doesn’t want—though it does take her to France. They need her to bring a witch back to Savannah for a trial that Bree is sure is a load of hooey.
But not just any witch. The first one. The oldest one. The one who makes a t-rex look like he’s howling about a sore tooth. The one who makes the wicked witch of the west look like your sweet old nanny, the one who . . .well you get the picture.
Bree’s job? Find her. Befriend her. And convince her to come back to Savannah for safekeeping.
But someone else has gotten a head start, and their reasons for tracking down the miserable old witch are far worse than the council’s reasons.
None other than a sexy, growly blacksmith with pretty eyes who makes Bree’s panties melt even though she knows he isn’t for her. And he is looking for the same miserable old lady.
Throw in a lovesick siren, and a slew of new problems, and you’ve got Bree’s next adventure busting at the seams. And no, it isn’t because her pants are too small.
My Standpoint on Midlife Witch Hunter Book
I absolutely love this series, it brings so much fun, laughter, love and a bite of mystery. The characters are brilliant and very individual. Bree is one of my all time favourite characters ever because of her age, her personality. It’s an amazing adventure with some incredible characters, twists and turns to make my head spin. Here we see, how poor Bree is dealing with the devastating events of the previous book, deciding whether or not to use the potion. But she’s drawn into Council business again. Along the way, we meet a new character.
How they conflict with each other that is the interesting part of this book. And you will be anxious to know the situation when you try to read this book. That’s the power of this book. So I recommend you to try it on amazon.
7. The Gift

Publisher’s Summary
Leading the Resistance, Whit and Wisty face their most daunting challenge yet in the jaw-dropping sequel to Witch & Wizard.
When Whit and Wisty were imprisoned by the wicked forces of the totalitarian regime known as the New Order, they were barely able to escape with their lives. Now part of a hidden community of teens like themselves, Whit and Wisty have established themselves as leaders of the Resistance, willing to sacrifice anything to save kidnapped and imprisoned kids.
Now the villainous leader of the New Order is just a breath away from the ability to control the forces of nature and to manipulate his citizens on the most profound level imaginable: through their minds. There is only one more thing he needs to triumph in his evil quest: the Gifts of Whit and Wisty Allgood. And he will stop at nothing to seize them.
In this second installment of James Patterson’s epic Witch & Wizard series, Whit and Wisty’s heart-pounding adventures through the Overworld and Shadowland lead to a spectacular climax and conclusion.
My Standpoint on The Gift Book
I found the second book of this series to be as engrossing as the first book. The story is about Whit and Wisty, the two siblings. They have magical power as a gift. Here the one seems to have recognized the gift of great magical power that Wisty has within herself. Because he has been doing with their parents and others with magical abilities. His secret police are actually able to capture the Allgood siblings and bring them into one of their schools, which are really more retraining. Byron Swain, the traitor that has wormed his way into the Resistance, proves to be constantly bumping into Wisty and Whit.
At the same time, his father is a New Order ranking official, and he always seems to be around when things go bad. So Wisty and Whit find themselves on the run, reaching out to all sorts of allies like Whit’s dead and ghostly girlfriend Celia, an old family friend. And the other hand, he other kids in the Resistance as they get a handle how their powers seem particularly tied to the creative arts like music and writing. The result of all this is a pretty fun and quick-paced action story. There is little character development, and the authors continue to slowly release details of what brought the world to this point. That’s why I enjoyed it thouroly and I highly recommend you try this book at least once. To check out the details, click on amazon.
8. The Hidden Witch: A Graphic Novel

Publisher’s Summary
From the creator of the acclaimed graphic novel The Witch Boy comes a new adventure set in the world of magic and shapeshifting — and ordinary kids just trying to make friends.Aster and his family are adjusting to his unconventional talent for witchery; unlike the other boys in his family, he isn’t a shapeshifter. He’s taking classes with his grandmother and helping to keep an eye on his great-uncle whose corrupted magic wreaked havoc on the family. Meanwhile, Aster’s friend from the non-magical part of town, Charlie, is having problems of her own — a curse has tried to attach itself to her. She runs to Aster and escapes it, but now the friends must find the source of the curse before more people — normal and magical alike — get hurt.
My Standpoint on The Hidden Witch book
This is a solid and perhaps even better entry into the series about Aster. Here he doesn’t want to do what boys are raised to do, which is become shape-shifters. Suddenly Ariel has a friend Charlie, a girl who is neither a witch nor a shape-shifter. But because of Aster ,Charlie couldn’t make a commitment with Ariel. A dramatic event happens involving Charlie’s once possessed grandfather, but overall good things happen. And we will get to know that kids will become who they want to be. This journey are amazing to notice as a reader. Which will push you think about your children’s life. So, don’t delay to know more about it. Go and check this on amazon.
9. Summer Magic (The Thorne Witches Book 1)

Publisher’s Summary
Summer Magic is a paranormal romance with zany characters and hijinks. Due to adult themes, this book is not recommended for anyone under the age of 18. Heat level: 3.5
Life in a small town can be tough. It can be even tougher when you’re a witch whose magic regularly backfires. But Summer Thorne only wants one thing: to create the perfect sanctuary for unwanted animals. Nothing and no one is going to stop her. Not even the sexy sheriff who is determined to shut down her rescue center. And certainly not the laboratory where she illegally obtained her mischievous chimpanzee, Morty.
Sheriff Cooper Carlyle has one goal: to keep his town safe. That includes his stubborn neighbor, Summer, whether she wants him to or not. When the animals of Summer’s menagerie get loose and create havoc, he decides enough is enough. But things aren’t always as they appear, and Coop stumbles upon the secret the Thorne sisters have been hiding.
Coop and Summer suspect Morty holds the key to unlock a seventeen-year-old mystery surrounding the death of Summer’s mother. Now Coop is faced with breaking the law he is sworn to uphold in order to protect Summer and her beloved pet from a threat more dangerous than any of them imagined.
My Standpoint on Summer Magic
“Guys don’t know what they want until they screw it up. When they realize the best thing that ever happened to them walked out the door, they implode,” These are the lines that still capture my mind. The way author write the book, you never feel bore. Here the story is about the sisters who are outed as witches in the small town of Leiper’s Fork. But Sheriff Cooper is not happy and orders them gone! It doesn’t matter that he’s been denying his love for Summer since the age of 5. Although there is a mystery behind the pet sanctuary that forces Summer and Coop to work together.
How the story build up you will notice at the end. And the twists of the end will make you surprised that you will love to read again to know more. That’s why as a witch book reader, I will recommend to try this book. To check about the details, just click on amazon.

My Standpoint on The Kitchen Witch Book
I really enjoyed finding out about Jen & Ruby’s story. This series continues to get better and better. And I especially enjoyed the side story with Evan and his dad. Here, we finally get to find out about the father of Jen Holloway’s daughter Ruby. But now we know Mark Stonehill comes from one of the most powerful families of sorcerers. Who deal in the illegal side of magic but have yet to be caught and charged. There had been strange things going on before he showed up and his timing makes her cautious about his true intentions.
Along with Jen’s part of the story, there was also a secondary story going on with Charlie’s son Evan and his father. Where she will go to any lengths to get Evan to help save another girl before she is murdered. The biggest surprise here was with Evan’s dad Scott. Early in the series, Scott was such a pain about Charlie’s abilities and how he wanted his son raised. And he has come a long way with accepting the magic community. And that his son is going to grow up to be one powerful witch himself. This whole story will capture you like glue. You can’t ignore any part of it. That’s why I recommend you to try this book. To know more about it click on amazon.
